The world is more complex than that, true, but it becomes difficult to argue for/against everything if you force yourself to adhere to the idea that "nobody is wrong". It's more useful to have faith in yourself as an agent of truth, even if it may not be justified on a philosophical level, because it works on a pragmatic level.
