"dd" you say? That is a Linux command that will fuck your shit up if you are not careful. Speaking of which, do NOT run the following commands unless you want to blank a file:
$ > file.txt

I learned the hard way. I was basically screwing around and I blanked a text file of mine. Now I have to regenerate that plain text file from a backup that I have.

Do not run the command "> filename.ext" unless you want to delete that file in a way in which you probably can't recover it (unless you backed it up).
