Were you trying to post a link or perform witchcraft? That's the only times I've ever gotten that error. Either way, meltingwax needs to make a custom error message, like the "AHHHHH" you sometimes get when posting blocked stuff.

I've been having a similar problem too. Sometimes it results in double posting.

Wrong, with 4xx like 404 error it often indicates that dickhead website admins deleted tons of content resulting in many 404 errors.

429 might also indicate that a website is being stingy with its content.
